The “Fifth Sunday Rally” was a great time of praise and preaching for those who attended from the various congregations. Lloyd and Sarah led in a very uplifting song service and Bill Smith encouraged us all with his message, “Is Life Worth Living?” I think we all agree with him, it certainly is worth living when we are in Christ. Thanks to all those who prepared food, set up tables, and otherwise made the refreshment time a real hit with everyone.

As I said Sunday morning, “Jesus' followers have the power to live life to God’s glory.” We are both forgiven and enabled to live a new life in Christ. We can live free of a positive love for the things of this world and an anxious care about our lives in it. All we must do is determine to use God’s resources as He directs; get a clear view of things form His point of view; and enlarge our faith. Hopefully you will claim His deliverance from the stranglehold of Satan and live for that which really satisfies and enables you to be worry free.

Labor Day weekend is upon us and several members of our church family have indicated they will be away. That makes it doubly important that those of us remaining gather and minister to one another and others who might join us. This week’s message entitled, “The Matter of Judging” will show us how to deal with one another in a Christlike, loving way. Also, there are some folks who have told me they are ready to make their commitment to Christ and they plan to step forward Sunday morning. It should be a wonderful time of fellowship around the Lord’s Table. I hope you will make every effort to be there.
