Wasn’t Sunday’s assembly a blessing? Margaret’s songs were inspiring and Anthony’s message encouraging as he spoke to us about Christian love — rooted and grounded in God, growing deeper with the passage of time, having strength of character, always self-denying and self-demonstrating.  Many thanks to them and to all who shared in the service.

Every person nominated to be a deacon was selected with at least 65% of the vote this past Sunday. Our church officers for the coming year will therefore include deacons, Anthony Darling, Jeremy Howard, Brian Johnson, Jim Johnson, Steve Ott, Jeff Wilkerson and Steve Wilkerson; and elders, Sam Cotton and Chuck Rhodes. Be praying for these men as they seek to serve in the year ahead.

Our Spiritual Adventure, “Taking Christ Into Our Community,” begins this coming Sunday. We will give out copies of the book In His Steps to all family units along with a copy of our “Five Spiritual Adventure Disciplines” for February 21-27. My message will be from John 4:4-43 in which I will introduce the Adventure’s five disciplines and the anticipated results of this effort.  Starting next week I will share with you the Scripture for the next week’s sermon and some discussion questions as you read that Scripture and prepare yourself for our time together around the Lord’s table.

"The Gospel and the End of Tiime" is the title of our Wednesday evening study of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians beginning March 3rd. You can enroll by sending and e-mail to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by indicating your desire to attend on our silent roll-call card Sunday morning. It is important that you do this so that a study guide can be prepared for you. Get ready by reading these letters several times before the class begins. Each week I'll share questions with you that will aid your study and prepare you for the next class.
